The Irish Data Protection Commission has finished its investigation into WhatsApp and Twitter over potential violations of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, CNBC reports. Irish DPC Head of Communications Graham Doyle said the agency will now move into the decision-making phase of the process. Irish Data Protection Commissioner Helen Dixon may be able to ask for more information from Facebook and Twitter before the final decision is made. Dixon is expected to issue draft decision in both cases by the end of the year. Facebook and Twitter declined to comment.
