The Irish National Digital Strategy was published Feb. 1 by Taoiseach Michael Martin and Tanaiste Leo Varadkar, according to the Data Protection Commission. The National Digital Strategy’s goal is to facilitate regulators’ abilities to cooperate and coordinate effectively so citizens can shop, communicate, and share and create content, while remaining safe online. Ireland is expected to appoint a Digital Services Coordinator by the end of March, who will be tasked with generating the planning and design for the implementation of the Digital Services Act.
