The University of Iowa Hospitals & Clinics is in settlement negotiations after a patient said the hospital shared her personal information with Facebook, the Des Moines Register reports. The class-action lawsuit claims UIHC websites sold tracking data of patients that visited their websites to Facebook for targeted advertisements. In response, UIHC said in a statement that they "do not share protected health information of our patients with Meta or Facebook."
