Amid claims China’s MY2022 Olympics application contains security flaws, an International Olympic Committee spokesperson said “special measures” were required to keep athletes and fans attending the games safe, ZDNet reports. Attendees are required to download the app or use a health monitoring webpage. Reports state a "simple but devastating flaw" allows encryption that protects users' voice audio and file transfers to be circumvented, and also could make passport details, demographic information, and medical and travel history in health customs forms vulnerable.
