A cyberinsurance provider announced it offers policies aimed at small- and medium-sized businesses to cover fines and costs related to violations of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, Dark Reading reports. Coalition’s policy limits range from $25,000 to $10 million. Costs for the policies go from $50 a year to $100,000. "[With the GDPR], companies can now be fined even if they've never lost a single piece of customer data, introducing a significant gap in coverage across most cyber insurance policies," Coalition Founder and CEO Joshua Motta said. The Coalition executive said he hopes his company’s policies can help to fix the coverage issue.
