The California Privacy Protection Agency announced informational sessions regarding California Privacy Rights Act rulemaking will take place virtually March 29 to 30. The first session will feature overviews of "dark patterns" and how user opt-out mechanisms are treated under the CPRA while the second session will discuss privacy operations management and automated decision-making. The sessions are part of the CPPA's preliminary rulemaking activities ahead of formal proceedings over the coming months. Editor's note: IAPP's Joe Duball reported on the CPPA planning to miss its July 1 deadline for CPRA regulations.
