Technology industry interest group NetChoice called on Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders, R-Ark., to veto the Social Media Safety Act, which would prohibit minors under age 18 from accessing platforms without parental consent, MediaPost reports. NetChoice Vice President and Counsel Carl Szabo, CIPP/US, said in a letter to Sanders the bill "risks subjecting every social media user in Arkansas to intrusive age verification requirements that would compromise the ability to speak freely and anonymously online."
