Entrackr reports India has introduced its Account Aggregator system, which aims to improve the control of digital data for small businesses and individuals. The AA system allows the consensual sharing of digital financial data with third parties in a safe and secure manner while the data subjects can better dictate what data is being used. The model will first be applied to the financial sector before working its way into other sectors, such as telecommunications and health care. “Thanks to AA and other digital infrastructure that we built, India will become a leader in empowering individuals and small businesses with their own data,” former UIDAI Chairman Nandan Nilekani said.
