According to Euractiv, an independent review board rejected the European Commission's proposed Data Act following evaluation of the commission's impact assessment. The Data Act outlines general conditions for consumers and businesses to access the data generated when using a product or a service while following principles of fairness, transparency and non-discrimination. The Regulatory Scrutiny Board took issues with a lack of information on the act's conditions for public entities to access data and interplay with other legislation.
