The Information Commissioner’s Office said it was planning “further discussions” regarding possible violations of the Children’s Code with Meta after research from the Center for Countering Digital Hate found multiple instances of abuse on VRChat, the Guardian reports. Violations of the code carry a potential 17.5 million GBP fine or 4% of a company’s global turnover. A Meta spokesperson said the company was “confident” the Oculus headset meets the conditions of the Children’s Code.
