The U.K. Information Commissioner’s Office released advice for organizations and small businesses collecting and retaining customer and visitor data as part of COVID-19 contact-tracing efforts. The guidance covers what data collection is allowed under law and how to collect data accordingly, as well as details on maintaining and sharing data. Meanwhile, Alberta, Canada Premier Jason Kenney accused the government of interfering with provincial contact-tracing apps, while Federal Minister of Health Patty Hajdu said a national app will launch soon.
