The U.K. Information Commissioner’s Office has fined a former headteacher for illegally processing school children’s personal data. The headteacher uploaded sensitive personal data from the two previous schools he worked at onto the Isleworth Town Primary School server. Darren Harrison was suspended from his role as deputy head of Isleworth. In an interview with the ICO, Harrison did not offer a valid explanation for the information appearing on the Isleworth server. The headteacher was fine 700 GBP by the ICO and was ordered to pay an additional 364.08 GBP in costs and a victim surcharge of 35 GBP.
