A private investigations company has been found guilty of illegally obtaining personal information, Financial Times reports. ICU Investigations and seven of its employees were the subject of a two-year investigation by the Information Commissioner’s Office, which found that ICU Investigations had tricked companies into revealing their customers’ personal data by impersonating the people they were trying to trace, obtaining data on almost 2,000 individuals between 2009 and 2010.
