The U.K. Information Commissioner's Office will continue to prioritize children's online privacy with a new Children's Code strategy. The code "builds on progress to date" and will focus on limiting the collection of children's data online and how to enforce the law and ensure compliance. U.K. Information Commissioner John Edwards said he is "calling on social media and video-sharing platforms to assess and understand the potential data harms to children on their platforms, and to take steps to mitigate them."
