The submission period for the U.K. Information Commissioner’s Office Regulatory Sandbox initiative is closed. The ICO will now begin to examine the submissions to the Sandbox. The agency will create a short list before an internal assessment panel reaches a final decision. The ICO anticipates 10 projects will be selected for the sandbox’s initial beta phase, with those successful applicants expected to be notified by July. Once chosen, the applicants will work with the ICO to develop their road map as they work through the initiative.
