Iceland's data protection authority, Persónuvernd, has fined the National Center of Addiction Medicine 20,643 euros for violations of the EU General Data Protection Regulation. The DPA found the center violated Articles 5(1)f and 32 with its lack of appropriate measures to protect personal information, which led to a data breach involving records of 252 patients and the names of 3,000 center rehab participants.
