Iceland's data protection authority, Persónuvernd, published a letter it sent to Arion Bank regarding the organization's data protection officer. After the bank's previous DPO resigned, Arion made the decision to transfer the role to its compliance officer. The DPA found Arion had taken the proper steps to ensure the new DPO met the requirements in Iceland's Act on Data Protection and the Processing of Personal Data and the EU General Data Protection Regulation.
