Comprehensive data protection laws exist around the world, and more are expected to come into play. While each law is different, there are many common threads around rights, obligations and enforcement provisions. The IAPP Westin Research Center recently updated its chart mapping several comprehensive data protection laws to include Armenia, Israel, Kenya and the Philippines as well as U.S. state privacy law updates in Utah and Virginia. This tool aims to assist members in understanding how data protection is being approached around the world.
