The IAB Technology Laboratory released a spec to address data deletion under the California Consumer Privacy Act, Adweek reports. “A publisher who utilizes (advertising technology) vendors to be ‘service providers’ can use the new spec to signal that a user exercised her right to deletion. This could easily come in the form of explanatory text and button hosted on a publisher page designed to handle those requests,” IAB Tech Lab Product Management Senior Director Alex Cone wrote in a blog post.
