The Interactive Advertising Bureau and IAB Technology Laboratory are seeking public comments on a draft framework designed to help digital publishers comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act. Comments on the IAB CCPA Compliance Framework for Publishers and Technology Companies are requested by Nov. 5. A final version will be released before the CCPA implementation date in January 2020. This will help companies comply with the law while continuing "to innovate and offer the products and services that consumers love," IAB Executive Vice President of Public Policy Dave Grimaldi said. Meanwhile, the IAB suggests in its framework that some advertisers may interpret loopholes surrounding the law’s opt-out provisions, MediaPost reports.
