The Internet Advertising Bureau Europe responded to claims it violated the EU General Data Protection Regulation, MediaPost reports. IAB Europe CEO Townsend Feehan wrote a blog post to address allegations from privacy advocates that its OpenRTB protocol does not comply with the EU rules. “These claims are not only false but are intentionally damaging to the digital advertising industry and to European digital media that depend on advertising as a revenue stream,” writes Feehan, who adds IAB Europe has attempted to address the complaints raised by the privacy advocates on past occasions.
