IAB Europe issued a response to a report filed by the Belgian Data Protection Authority's Inspection Service on the lawfulness of the IAB's Transparency and Consent Framework. "The Inspection Service report misunderstands and misrepresents the TCF, including the objectives it is intended to achieve and how it operates in practice," IAB wrote as it offered clarification on the TCF's operation and the organization's role in general. Following further submissions, the complaint will head for oral arguments "in March or April," according to IAB.
