In letters sent Oct. 25, U.S. House Republicans asked Snap, Tiktok and YouTube to provide any "internal research or study" and communications on how their platform impacts user mental health, including teens and children. The letters follow former Facebook employee Frances Haugen's testimony that revealed internal research done by Facebook on the impact of its platform on youth, and began a discussion in Congress for the need for a federal privacy law.
