The Hong Kong legislature has commenced talks on privacy laws to address "doxing behavior," Reuters reports. The law defines violators as those who disclose another individual's personal data without consent and "with an intent to cause specified harm or being reckless" about whatever harm is caused. Violators of the law could face fines of 1 million HKD and five years in prison.
