The South China Morning Post reports that Hong Kong Transport and Housing Undersecretary Raymond So Wai-man dismissed privacy concerns over the automatic toll system in place at a new tunnel connecting Lam Tin and Tseung Kwan O, slated to open in 2021. The system will capture images of sticker tags or rear number plates but not of drivers or passengers. “We would keep the information for around 30 days, but the main goal is not for keeping personal details,” he said.
