The Hindu reports the Delhi High Court has called the Reserve Bank of India "callous" and "negligent" for its lack of response to a consumer petition regarding the data misuse and improper customer information sharing. The petition sought to have the bank require customer consent when sharing clients' Permanent Account Numbers and financial transaction data with credit rating agencies. The court is demanding that the bank respond to the petition before the next hearing 11 Oct.
