The CDU/CSU and the Social Democrats have reached a deal on a new bill that would bring federal laws in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation, as well as alter the Federal German Privacy Act, Frankfurter Allgemeine reports. The second Data Protection Adaptation and Implementation Act increases the number of employees an organization has before they need to hire a data protection officer from 10 to 20.
