The Global Privacy Assembly announced the results of its annual Closed Session. U.K. Information Commissioner and GPA Chair Elizabeth Denham opened the virtual conference with remarks on keeping data protection and the GPA's work "modern and dynamic." GPA used the session to devise aligned views on facial recognition, artificial intelligence and humanitarian aid. Additionally, Filipino National Privacy Commissioner Raymund Liboro and Australian Information Commissioner Angelene Falk presented on the GPA's COVID-19 Taskforce and the group's strategic plan and policy strategy.
