During the 43rd Global Privacy Assembly 2021, the GPA adopted a series of resolutions, including a resolution on Children’s Digital Rights. Under the resolution on Data Sharing for the Public Good, the GPA will establish a Working Group to identify approaches to share and use personal data, develop responses to data protection and privacy concerns and more. A resolution on Government Access to Data, Privacy and the Rule of Law advocates for principles — including data subject rights and redress to individuals — for government access to private sector personal data for national security and public safety purposes. The GPA also shared highlights of its closed sessions.
