Pakistan’s National Database and Registration Authority denied data breach allegations after the Election Commission of Pakistan criticized NADRA for a potential threat to security data, The Express Tribune reports. The four generals of the authority held a news conference to refute the charges, with an official stating, “There has never been a data breach in the history of NADRA. We have never shared any citizen’s data with anyone.” Speaking to Radio Pakistan, a NADRA official said while some information had been shared as part of the Right to Information law, it only contained “statistical numbers about gender, minorities and age-groups of CNIC holders.”
