Google announced it would automatically delete user data for those who visit sensitive locations, such as an abortion clinic, the Guardian reports. The move was made in response to the U.S. Supreme Court overturning Roe v. Wade and subsequent fears that mobile location data could be used to police women who seek reproductive health services in states that have criminalized abortions. In a company blog post, Google announced new features for its privacy tools, such as Google Fit and Fitbit devices allowing users to delete their data at any time.
