CNET reports Google informed voice assistant users that their voice recordings will be reviewed rather than saved moving forward. The halt to storing recordings for quality assurance purposes comes as Google has decided to use human reviewers to examine snippets of anonymized recordings that will be deleted following each review. Users have been given the choice to opt-in to such reviews. Meanwhile, Google has been hit with a lawsuit in California alleging its voice assistant processed data when it was not activated by the user.
