Google will automatically turn on two-factor authentication for 150 million user accounts by the end of 2021, The Verge reports. In new blog posts, the technology giant announced initiatives to provide additional layers of account security for consumers, including updating Google's Password Manager and pushing its Inactive Account Manager. Meanwhile, The New York Times published an article suggesting consumers stop paying for VPNs, pointing to outdated tech and VPN brands being bought out by companies with "shady track records" when it comes to privacy.
