Google plans to end location reminder capabilities on mobile and smart devices that use Google Assistant, Gizmodo reports. The tool reminds users to do certain tasks at certain places once a device calculated precise location. Google did not comment on its change, but a fact sheet published on Google Assistant's functions and practices shows the application does track user data on devices. However, Google Assistant's privacy notice indicates it collects data only according to user settings and when the app is active.
