Three Android applications for children, with more than 20 million downloads collectively, have been removed from the Google Play store, TechCrunch reports. International Digital Accountability Council researchers found the apps — Princess Salon, Number Coloring, and Cats & Cosplay — violated Google’s data collection policies. Google confirmed the apps were removed after it was notified by IDAC of the violations. “Whenever we find an app that violates our policies, we take action,” a spokesperson said.
