Google Vice President of Privacy Sandbox Anthony Chavez announced the company is expanding the sandbox testing window and pushing the full deprecation of third-party cookies to "the second half of 2024." Chavez said the common feedback Google gets regarding current application programming interfaces in the sandbox is "the need for more time to evaluate and test." He added current API trials will expand to millions globally in August. Meanwhile, the U.K. Competition and Markets Authority published its progress report on Google's sandbox commitments.
