Google filed a new motion to dismiss a privacy lawsuit filed by New Mexico Attorney General Hector Balderas, Law Street reports. Balderas alleges the company's G Suite for Education violated the U.S. Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act. Google’s motion claims Balderas failed to state actual claims regarding Google Education and argues there is no COPPA violation. Meanwhile, Macy’s settled a proposed class-action lawsuit over a 2018 data breach for up to $192,500.
