The European Union opened an antitrust investigation against Google, The Wall Street Journal reports. The EU will look into allegations that Google engaged in anticompetitive practices by sharing user data with advertisers across websites and applications as well as the technology company's plan to block certain user tracking tech on its platforms. A Google spokesperson said the tech company will "engage constructively with the European Commission to answer their questions.”
