In a data breach notice filed with California's Office of the Attorney General, Geico said a security bug enabled unauthorized individuals to access customers’ driver’s license numbers from its website, TechCrunch reports. The unauthorized access occurred between Jan. 21 and March 1, and the automobile insurer told customers it believes the information could be used to fraudulently apply for unemployment benefits. It did not disclose how many customers were affected.
