The Hill reports Bill Gates has become the latest tech figure to call for a federal U.S. privacy law. "The notion that this ability to identify anyone, that we’re going to think about how do businesses get to use that and how does the government use that? It makes a lot of sense," Gates said. The Microsoft founder added tech companies and lawmakers should talk with one another to develop a federal set of rules. Meanwhile, a survey conducted by Hill.TV and American Barometer found the majority of U.S. citizens support a countrywide privacy law.
