In their newly released predictions on privacy and cybersecurity, Gartner anticipates increased privacy laws worldwide and a shift to physical harm from malware in the coming few years, ZDNet reports. Gartner said 75% of the world's population will be under privacy regulations that include subject rights requests in 2023. By 2025, Gartner predicted "60% (of enterprises) will use cybersecurity risk as a primary determinant for business transactions." Additionally, it will expect to see cybercriminals causing human harm using operational technology malware.
