Federal Trade Commissioner Noah Phillips said the U.S. needs a federal privacy law, Axios reports. Phillips said it may take a while for federal rules to come into place; however, it is important to make sure the law is done correctly. The commissioner also said he intends to finish his term at the agency and does not expect FTC Chairman Joseph Simons to be replaced.
