Speaking before the U.S. House Energy and Commerce Committee, Federal Trade Commission Chair Lina Khan spoke on a range of issues with digital platforms, including privacy concerns, The Wall Street Journal reports. In addition to a surge in fraud, Khan and fellow FTC commissioners said the agency would focus on how platforms abuse children's privacy. FTC Commissioner Rohit Chopra said they need to look at how platforms' business models can lead to alleged violations of children's privacy. Some of the Democrat commissioners also suggested they could initiate development of rules to bolster consumer privacy protections, the report states.
