  • MediaPost reports 31 U.S. state attorneys general wrote a letter to the U.S. Federal Trade Commission calling for mandated data collection limits. The group said consumers are "coerced into sharing more personal data than they otherwise intended to" based on the current notice-and-choice regime that is "largely failing consumers."
  • Also, according to MediaPost, 21 advocacy groups sent a petition to the FTC urging the agency to regulate against potentially harmful design techniques associated with children's online services.
