The U.S Federal Trade Commission and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau filed a joint amicus brief to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit seeking reversal of a ruling related to misinterpretation of required credit information removals under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. A prior district court decision supported the denial of a removal claim without sufficient proof of harm to the claimant.
