A proposed order by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission bans ovulation-tracking app Premom from sharing health data for advertising purposes. The FTC said Premom shared users' sensitive personal and health data without notifying consumers "of these unauthorized disclosures in violation of the Health Breach Notification Rule." The order also requires Premom to obtain user consent "before sharing health data for any other purpose" and to notify consumers of the use of their personal data.
