The U.S. Federal Trade Commission announced it has given final approval to a settlement with T&M Protection Resources over allegations it misrepresented its participation and compliance with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield agreement. The agency alleged T&M continued to claim participation with Privacy Shield after its certification lapsed. As part of the settlement, T&M is prohibited from misrepresenting its participation in Privacy Shield or any other government-sponsored privacy program. Meanwhile, Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey urged a state appeals court to block Facebook's bid to delay an investigation into potential misuse of user data.
