France’s data protection authority, the Commission nationale de l'informatique et des libertés, has been asked to determine whether Google Analytics violates the EU General Data Protection Regulation, Euractiv reports. In a letter to the CNIL, nonprofit Interhop criticized e-health care companies’ use of the tool and called on the CNIL to review the impact of the “Schrems II” case on Google Analytics. Interhop also urged the CNIL to put an end to any illegal data processing activities.
