The French government has launched the French Tech Ticket. The government will subsidize foreign entrepreneurs willing to create start-ups in France to attract the best talents and draw activity and jobs to the country, Secretary of State for the Digital Economy Axelle Lemaire has announced.

The first year the project will be run in Paris and will be granted a budget of 5 millions euros. It is expected to benefit approximately 50 applicants.

Over 12 months, a start-up may benefit by a maximum of 25,000 euros in funding. Other support services will also be provided, and businesses will be hosted in a start-up incubator.

Applications will be field from mid-June until the end of September. Winners will be announced in December, with the first French Tech Ticket entrepreneurs scheduled to arrive in Paris in January 2016.
