The Future of Privacy Forum is currently seeking public feedback on the proposed City of Seattle Open Data Risk Assessment. In its Open Data Policy, Seattle said data would be "open by preference" unless individual privacy is affected. To ensure a balance between open data and privacy is met, the city announced last year that it will perform annual risk assessments and "tasked FPF with creating and deploying an initial privacy risk assessment methodology for open data," according to an FPF release. The comment period will be open until Oct. 2.
